SIEB & MEYER has further developed its Motor Analyzer – the tool now supports additional motor types, output filters and operating modes. Motor Analyzer is a function of the drivemaster2 software for parameterization and initial operation, which supports developers and experienced users during the project planning phase. It allows for meaningful simulations of the operating points and the expected ripple currents of different frequency converters.

SIEB & MEYER has developed a new option module for servo amplifier SD3 that can evaluate two torque transducers and a HIPERFACE DSL® interface. With the additional interfaces new application possibilities open up, for example in the fields of tightening, pressing and lifting technology. In addition, this reduces costs for wiring and components significantly.

From the third quarter of 2019 onwards SIEB & MEYER provides SD2B plus with a SERVOLINK 4 drive bus interface which is based on fiber optics. In combination with the motion controller MC2, this makes the device suitable for positioning applications with an accuracy in the micrometer range. One application field are machines for direct imaging of PCBs, for example. SD2B plus can operate the axes used for focusing in these machines. In addition, the new interface enables the device to be integrated into Profibus/Profinet/EtherCAT fieldbus systems via a gateway.
